Edit Review Emails and Test Them Safely
Use Email Templates when the message, styling, or button text needs work. Save the template, preview the final result on desktop and mobile, then send a test email before the live flow is turned on.
Template Roles
Review request
This is the main review email. Its overall layout and brand styling become the base reference for the other review-email templates.
Settings -> Email Templates -> Review requestReview reminder
This follow-up email is used only when reminders are enabled and the customer has not completed the original request.
Settings -> Email Templates -> Review reminderThank-You email
This message is sent after a review is successfully submitted and the post-review flow allows a thank-you email.
Settings -> Email Templates -> Thank-You emailReward & discount email
Use this only when the rewards flow sends a separate email with a discount or reward code.
Settings -> Email Templates -> Reward & discount emailSupported Variables
Use these tokens in subject lines or message bodies to personalize the email without writing separate versions by hand.

What You Can Change
Header, logo, and watermark
Use Style controls to show or hide the brand logo, choose the logo variant, and decide whether the "Powered by Sabdov" watermark appears.
Content and CTA
Use Content controls to edit the subject line, body copy, button text, helper text, and complaint-handling copy.
Footer and social links
Use footer and social controls to keep colors, icon treatment, and link visibility aligned with your brand.
CSS overrides
Use Custom CSS only when the built-in controls are not enough. The "Add Class" helper shows the selectors that are safe to target.
How to Check the Final Email
Desktop and mobile preview
Check both views before saving so spacing, logos, and buttons stay readable in common inbox widths.
Preview Page button
Open the hosted preview to review the saved template outside the drawer before you send a test.
Product-based preview data
The selected product should fill the preview with the right image, title, review link, and reward details where applicable.
Safe Editing Sequence
Open Settings -> Email Templates
Choose the template you want to change. If a card is inactive, enable the related Review Requests or Rewards flow first.
Edit content and styling
Update the copy, colors, logo, footer, or CSS in the drawer, then save so the latest version becomes the one used in preview.
Check the saved preview
Review desktop and mobile states, then open "Preview Page". The hosted preview should show the latest saved content for the selected product.
Send a real test email
Use a real inbox, then confirm the subject line, body copy, styling, and links arrive as expected before you let automation send it to customers.
Important Behavior Notes
- The Review request template is the base visual reference, so style changes there may shape how the other template cards feel.
- Reminder and Thank-You emails only matter when the matching Review Requests behavior is enabled.
- Reward & discount email is relevant only when Rewards uses a separate email delivery path and the feature is available on the plan.
- Custom CSS should stay limited to the supported `.sabdov-email-*` selectors shown in the editor.
Before you send
Save the template, confirm the hosted preview, and verify a real test email before you let the live flow send customer-facing email.
